CoreWeave and Runway: A Powerful Partnership Shaping the Future of AI Video

On December 11th, CoreWeave, the essential cloud for AI, announced a significant agreement with Runway, a global leader in AI, to provide the AI cloud solutions necessary to power Runway's next-generation video generation models. Runway selected CoreWeave for its specialized features and capabilities designed for AI services. This includes access to CoreWeave's AI Cloud platform, along with integrated software and data capabilities. This will help accelerate Runway's AI models with both efficiency and scalability.
Runway is at the forefront of innovation in video generation and world models. Their tools are already used by major players in the film industry, production houses, gaming companies, and robotics developers. Runway offers a cutting-edge suite of AI models that can generate and edit images, video, and audio from text, images, or video prompts. They also provide 3D world models and real-time video models, which have a wide range of applications, including autonomous driving, life sciences, and live avatar interactions.

But here's where it gets interesting: Runway will be leveraging CoreWeave’s NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems for large-scale training and inference. They will also use W&B Models to gain full observability across their workloads. Furthermore, Runway's models will be available on W&B Inference, powered by the CoreWeave AI Cloud Platform. They will also utilize CoreWeave AI Object Storage, a service that provides instant access to a single dataset anywhere in the world, without any egress charges or request/transaction fees. This will allow Runway to train and run inference on its latest AI models with high-throughput GPU performance that is not limited by geographical boundaries or cloud restrictions.
CoreWeave's technology team is known for setting new standards in performance. They have achieved an industry-leading MLPerf benchmark for AI workloads. They are also the only AI cloud to earn the top Platinum ranking in both SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX™ 1.0 and 2.0, which is considered the definitive rating system for AI cloud performance, efficiency, and reliability.
